Two bored restaurant servers get more excitement than they bargained for when their most annoying regular customer turns out to be a zombie leading an undead horde during the final minutes of their shift.

Veronica Killeffer is a filmmaker based in Knoxville, Tennessee. With a degree in Communications from Berry College, concentrating in Filmmaking, she wanted to document and honor the experiences of young people working in the service industry during times of economic uncertainty. A server at the Gourmet’s Market and Cafe, Wet Floor is her narrative directorial debut that draws on her experiences. She also works freelance as a Production Assistant and is currently working on her next short film.

Ruth Smith is an aspiring actor currently pursuing a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to become a licensed professional counselor. She moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, in 2024 and works as a server at the Gourmet’s Market and Cafe. Her experience as a server was part of the inspiration for Wet Floor, and her zombie acting helped propel the film to the big screen.
